Sydenham Hill Estate Weekly Works Update: w/c Monday 29 April 2024

Please find below the activities that are scheduled to take place from the week commencing Monday 29 April 2024 in connection with the Sydenham Hill Estate Redevelopment Project.

*Notification for Saturday 27 April:

We have received notice that the concrete delivery will be delayed tomorrow, therefore works may overrun the 1pm finish time to enable the concrete pour to block C. All works will cease at 1.15pm and vehicles out by 1.30pm at the latest.

Monday 29 April – Friday 3 May

Block A:

Building the structure to hold the second floor.
Perimeter drainage installation

Block B:

Cutting down concrete to foundation piles.
Steelwork to concrete floor
Drainage installation and waterproofing

Block C:

Building the structure to hold the concrete for retaining wall
Steel work for the structure

Otto Close:

Boundary hoarding line works - by steps from alleyway to Lammas Green - *See note/diagram below
Reduce level dig to attenuation tank

Saturday 4 May

Blocks A/B/C:

Concrete pour
Material re-organisation
Drainage & decking installation
Steel fixing

Otto Close:

No planned works

Noisy works

• Plant movement (excavators and dumpers)

Deliveries

• Muck removal lorries in and out of main gate

• Concrete lorries in and out of the delivery gate

Note

Further to previous notifications relating to works to the manholes/sewer connections in Otto Close, these are on hold due to re-sequencing and are likely to recommence in w/c 6 May 2024.
We are aware of the damage to the railings in Otto Close and will be carrying out the necessary repairs in the coming weeks.
In order to proceed with planned works to the footpath, we will need to change the hoarding line which will mean diverting pedestrian access around the lower steps of the alleyway to the zig-zag route.
Please see diagram in red below – the red area will be fenced off, and access will be via the blue arrows. This diversion will be in place until Friday 10 May.
